Ok, so when I think of `snowboard boot laces' I think of something akin to long boot laces. You know, the ones that are really thin, round and tough like you find on many work boots these days. I ordered these because I needed new laces for my snowboarding boots and the size was right plus they were the best price. Let me explain then what these are like.
They're exactly like the fat kind of shoe laces you find on many skater shoes and some real off brand boots. If you look really close at the picture, you can get an idea what they're like. This makes them not only weak, but they'll be damn hard to unlace when they're covered in ice and snow from use outside for several hours. Their non-sturdy design makes it so should your boot lace catch something (I have no idea why this would happen, but let's just say it does), it'll tare apart pretty easily, like a shoelace would. Sturdier laces could take a much better beating and I can tell if I stick with these I'd be replacing them each season. Good thing this is my last season with these boots!
Anyway, their price is fantastic as it easily beats anything else on this website as far as snowboarding laces are concerned. Even though I wouldn't call these `snowboard laces', they are still 104" laces that will certainly do a good job on my boots for the season. I especially like the fact that they're a bit longer than the standard boot laces I find. It enables me to wrap it around the top of my boot before tying it. Anybody that just needs to replace their laces for one season, or two with light to moderate use, and you're not on a huge budget, these are an excellent choice. I'd buy them again if I needed to replace my boot laces for just one more season. Three stars because they don't stand out, but they certainly will work.
